چکیده
Mature teratoma comprises 5-10 % of all testicular neoplasms. Pure testicular teratoma is rare in adulthood with an incidence of 5 %. Regardless of differentiation postpubertal testicular teratoma have aggressive behavior and microscopic appearance of metastasis may differ from that of the primary. We present a case of pure teratoma of testis in an adult presenting as a metastatic germ cell tumor.

Development of carcinomas, especially squamous cell carcinoma is an extremely rare event. Most cases of metastatic umbilical nodules (Sister Mary Joseph nodule) develop from adenocarcinomas. Fifteen percent of such cases have unknown origin; but development from a testicular squamous ...
متن کاملفراوانی بروز مارکر گلیپیکان 3 (GPC3) در تومورهای سلول زایای بیضه
Background and purpose: Germ cell tumor is the most common malignancy of men between 15-34 years of age. Proper treatment is highly dependent on accurate histologic diagnosis, and different markers such as cytokeratin, CD3, GPC3 and etc. were proposed. It was reported that GPC3 is over expressed in testicular germ cell tumors by micro array assay. The aim of this study was to evaluate the expre...

Two or more histological types characterize more than 60% of testicular germ cell tumors (GCTs). Burned-out testicular tumor refers to partial or complete histological regression of the primary testicular lesions. The most frequent GCT type involved in this kind of histological regression is choriocarcinoma, followed by embryonal carcinoma. To our knowledge, there are no cases of the burned-out...
متن کاملNovel Case of Metastatic Testicular Immature Teratoma Invading the Duodenum
We present the first report of an immature teratoma arising from a germ cell testicular cancer invading the duodenum. While other seminomatous and non-seminomatous germ cell tumors are known to metastasize to the duodenum, this is the first such case involving an immature teratoma directly invading the duodenum from a metastatic retroperitoneal mass.
